Gene Abbr. | SCGB3A1 |
Gene ID | 92304 |
Full Name | secretoglobin family 3A member 1 |
Alias | HIN-1, HIN1, LU105, PnSP-2, UGRP2 |
Introduction | High in Normal-1 (HIN-1), also known as Secretoglobulin 3A1 (SCGB3A1), PnSP-2, LuLeu-2, and UGRP-2 is an 8 kDa member of the Secretoglobulin family of molecules. It is synthesized as a 104 aa precursor that contains a 21 aa signal sequence and an 83 aa mature region. There are no potential N-linked glycosylation sites. Based on other members of the family, HIN-1 is likely to exist as a disulfide-linked homodimer. The molecule is found in mammary and upper airway epithelium. Mature mouse HIN-1 shares 60% aa sequence identity with mature human HIN-1. |
