Target Information
Target Name CCL2/MCP1
Gene Abbr. CCL2
Gene ID 6347
Full Name C-C motif chemokine ligand 2
Alias GDCF-2, HC11, HSMCR30, MCAF, MCP-1
Introduction CCL2, also known as JE or MCP-1 (monocyte chemoattractant protein-1), is a CC chemokine produced by fibroblasts, macrophages, astrocytes, mast cells, endothelial cells and osteoblasts. It functions as a chemoattractant through ligations with CCR2 on monocytes, macrophages and lymphocytes.
Product Details
Host Mouse
Clonality Monoclonal
Clone No. MNA1
Isotype IgG1
Immunogen The antibody reacts with both human natural and recombinant MCP1 in ELISA.
Usage
Application WB, ELISA, FC, IF, IHC, IP
Dilutions Western Blot (1:100-1:2000); ELISA (1:100-1:2000); Flow Cytometry (1:10-1:1000); Immunofluorescence (1:10-1:500); Immunohistochemistry (1:10-1:500); Immunoprecipitation (1:10-1:500)
Reactivity Human
Specificity The antibody reacts with both human natural and recombinant MCP1 in ELISA. MCP1 is a member of the CC subfamily of chemokines. MCP1 is a proinflammatory cytokine which acts both as an activation factor and as chemokine for monocytic cells. The antibody inhibits the biological activity of natural and recombinant human MCP1. The antigen specificity was assessed by ELISA. The antigen specificity was further assessed by immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. No crossreactivities with other cytokines have been detected.
