| Introduction | Autophagy is a catabolic process for the autophagosomic-lysosomal degradation of bulk cytoplasmic contents. The molecular machinery of autophagy was largely discovered in yeast and referred to as autophagy-related (Atg) genes. Atg13 is an autophagy factor and a target of the TOR kinase signaling pathway. It is essential for autophagosome formation and mitophagy. |
